HTE FACILITY

Fabricating our exchangers, following HTE engineer’s specifications, and adhering to all ASME code requirements, are just a few of the responsibilities on the shoulders of our shop.

Every heat exchanger fabricated by HTE requires a significant amount of coordination between all departments in the company. This is where our teamwork really shines.

HTE’s shop is divided into four main areas:

Machine Shop
Within 9,000 square feet of space, our machine shop fabricates tube sheets, baffles, and flanges. Once these are finished, they are sent to the weld shop, or assembly to fit up with other parts.

Weld Shop
HTE’s weld shop is comprised of fitters, helpers and welders, working with 22 welder machines, and four sub-arc wire feeders. This work flows from the north end to the south end of our shop. Fitters trial-fit shell cylinders, supports, nozzles, and other attachments to our exchangers, and enter into the system for pre-approval before welding begins. Once approved, welding is finished, and the helpers finalize finishing touches before transferring to assembly.

Assembly Shop
Here in HTE’s assembly shop, layout, fit up, clean up and testing are approved by quality inspection before shipping to our customers.

Shipping & Receiving
HTE’s Shipping/Receiving department is responsible for taking in raw materials for fabrication and loading the completed exchangers for customer shipments.
